Will I Be Able To Hatch Fish This Year?

Absolutely! Whether you are teaching in person or back to remote teaching, eggs will be available to all qualified teachers. If you opted to sit out last year, you are still eligible to participate.

  1. Download and complete the 772 application for eggs
  2. Complete the form – be sure to sign it and have your principal sign it
  3. Send the document as a PDF to r3CAEP@wildlife.ca.gov

Be sure to check the link at the top of this page “Applications Received” to ensure your application was received and approved.

Ethan Rotman (Bayareatic) manages and coordinates programs that hatch fish in classrooms for the San Francisco Bay Area. He also chairs the committee that manages these programs throughout the state. Ethan has worked with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for over 20 years.
